Hunt'n With Emo Upland Bird Hunts

Summary:

It's time for some upland bird hunt'n. Hunt with some of the best dogs and guides around.

Guiding for upland bird hunts in northeast Texas and southeast Oklahoma for quail, chuckar and pheasants. Several different shooting resorts to pick from. Both field hunts and tower shoots can be arranged for groups up to 25 hunters. The tower shoots are great fuin for large groups. Tower shoots will start in September. Book your groups early to get dates that you would like. Most resorts provide meals with the hunts and have overnight accommodations also. All resorts have different accommodations. Summary:

Puppies - Our puppies are exposed to both gunfire and bird scent very early to help ensure that the pup you choose will be bold in the field.  "Knocking" and chasing pen-raised quail starts after weaning.  We also expose the pups to household experiences to help round them out.  Additionally, they are run afoot in the hunting field to establish their range and pattern.

Young started dogs - This group of dogs are gun-broke and ready to hunt.  They have been shot over since weaning age and have been carefully taught to come when called.

Young broke dogs - This group of dogs are gun-broke and ready to hunt.  They have been shot over since weaning age, carefully taught to come when called, and most are retrieving shot birds.  Their range is described.  These dogs have had another summer training in North Dakota.  They have been exposed to loads of wild pheasant and prairie chicken.  They are currently being hunted in both South and West Texas on wild quail.  These dogs point, back (honor) and retrieve!

Labrador Point Kennels and Hunting Preserve

Summary:

Located in Center, Shelby County. Texas we do preserve hunts for quail, pheasants and chuckar. Our guided duck hunts are done on the backwaters of Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend. You can do a morning duck hunt and have the same dog holding point over a covey of quail that afternoon that retrieved your ducks that morning. 15 quail $200.00 3 pheasants $200.00 6 chuckar $200.00 15 quail, 2 pheasants and 4 chuckar $300.00 morning duck $125.00 morning duck and afternoon 15 quail, 2 pheasants and 4 chuckar . All hunts are based on 1/2 day hunt per person. Use your dogs and deduct $50.00 per person.

Snakebreaker

Summary: Snakebreaker offers several services. Using live rattlesnakes and Cottonmouths we teach hunting and house dogs to stay away from snakes. The training can save you thousands in Vet bills or might even save your pet's life. The training is a one time thing every year for at least the first three years of your pets life. It only takes a few minutes and they want nothing to do with the snakes after that. The results can be seen immediately. Snakebreaker also has a Vet that travels to each de-snake clinic. Along with any needed vaccine he offers the new REd Rock Laboritories rattle snake vaccine. Using the vaccine builds the dogs own immune system to fight the devistating effects of a rattlesnake bite. In most cases the vet need only monitor a dog after bitten by a rattlesnake. I have seen the results of a snake bite with the vaccine and without. I use the vaccine with confidence for both of my dogs. Getting both the vaccine and the training is highly recomended. It is the cheapest insurance and the best you can do to save your pet's life from the pain and agony of a snake bite. Short of keeping your animal in the house it is the only thing I know that will save their lives.

Tejas Hunting Retriever Club is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1985 by a dedicated group of dog trainers and enthusiasts and is affiliated with the American Kennel Club, the United Kennel Club, and is a member of the Hunting Retriever Club and the Master National Retriever Club. Tejas Hunting Retriever Club is a nonprofit organization. Tejas HRC shall not be conducted or operated for profit, and no part of any proceeds of any Hunt Test or remainder of residue from dues or donations to the Club shall benefit any members or individuals.
